Once the .zip file is extracted to a folder titled something like "arduino - 1.0.x", double-click the folder to open it. Make sure that there are a few files and sub-folders inside it including an arduino.exe file.
Browse to your folder where you saved the Arduino software and double-click the arduino.exe file to open the software. (Note: if the Arduino software loads in the wrong language, you can change it in the preferences dialog. See the environment page for details.)
Select the correct serial port from the Tools > Serial Port menu. This tells the Arduino software which USB port your LilyPad Arduino is attached to. On a PC this will be the highest numbered "COM" port. It is likely to be COM3 or higher.
Browse to your Applications folder and double-click the Arduino application to open the software. (Note: if the Arduino software loads in the wrong language, you can change it in the preferences dialog. See the environment page for details.)
Select the correct serial port from the Tools > Serial Port menu. This tells the Arduino software which USB port your LilyPad Arduino is attached to. On the Mac, this should be something with /dev/tty.usbserial in its name.
In order to program your Arduino, you need the Arduino IDE (Integrated Development Environment) from the arduino.cc website. We mentioned how to download and install the IDE in the previous article but we'll reiterate it here:

- 7. Download Wine from your Linux distributions software repositories. Once installed, you can then double-click the app to run them with Wine. You can also try PlayOnLinux, a fancy interface over Wine that will help you install popular Windows programs and games.
Wine is a way to run Windows software on Linux, but with no Windows required. Wine is an open-source Windows compatibility layer that can run Windows programs directly on any Linux desktop. Essentially, Wine is trying to re-implement enough of Windows from scratch so that it can run all those Windows applications without actually needing Windows.
Together with Energia, LaunchPad can be used to develop interactive objects, taking inputs from a variety of switches or sensors, and controlling a variety of lights, motors, and other physical outputs. LaunchPad projects can be stand-alone (only run on the Target Board, i.e. your LaunchPad), or they can communicate with software running on your computer (Host PC). You can also add wireless modules to enable communication over various types of RF including Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth, Zigbee, cellular, and more.
Our software works with all Arduino hardware, and remains 100% compatible with the Arduino IDE software, allowing you to harness the full potential of the examples and libraries available, without any modifications.
After the official birth of commercial EDA since 1981, different design software as been produced from the EDA industry. Printed Circuit Boards, also known as PCBs, are the foundation of any hardware-based product. Before EDA software, Engineers usually designed electronics circuitry and integrated circuits by hand or some other manual process.
There are several PCB software out there, some which are free, while others are premium. It could be a daunting task choosing from several tens of software in the market. When selecting a design package to use, it is always advisable to use some of the latest tools with available support and community. In the EDA industry, some of the best and most popular tools are mostly not free. Nevertheless, there are still a couple of powerful free ones. In this article, I will highlight some of the best free PCB design software you can find for designing your printed circuit board layout, and hopefully, this list will help you to pick what works for you.
Upverter is a web-based EDA just like EasyEDA for enabling hardware engineers to design, share, and review schematics and PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards). It does for open-source hardware design what GitHub have done for open-source software development, providing a collaboration platform. It comes with a schematics capture, PCB editor, a system designer, 3D viewer, team collaboration, and many more. More information about the platform is available here.
ExpressPCB Plus is an EDA software for creating and designing of electronics circuitry. It includes ExpressSCH Classic for drawing schematics and ExpressPCB Plus for circuit board layout. ExpressPCB Plus provides the option to see the instant quotes for your PCB board and even order the board for fabrication from inside the program itself.
TinyCAD is a simple and basic electronic circuit schematic and PCB designer. It is an open-source software project. It supports standard and custom symbol libraries. It supports PCB layout programs with several netlist formats and can also produce SPICE simulation netlists.
Osmond PCB is an only MAC-based EDA tool. It supports schematic capture and PCB layout design. The software provides many features such as unlimited board sizes, multiple board layers, and can be used to design boards up to 700 pins.

Circuit simulation is a way of building and testing virtual models of electronic devices. It isusually cheaper and quicker to simulate a design than to build a prototype.MacSpice requires a text-file description of the circuit as input. This 'netlist'is a list of components and the nodes they connect to. Users may prepare netlists with atext editor, or derive them from a circuit diagram using a third-partyschematic-capture application. MacSpice then builds a numerical model of the circuit and analyses this.
Learn how to program the ESP32 and ESP8266 NodeMCU boards using VS Code (Microsoft Visual Studio Code) with PlatformIO IDE extension. We cover how to install the software on Windows, Mac OS X or Ubuntu operating systems.
After learning about the Arduino and the Simulators, it is time to see some of the best software on the market. For optimal performance from the latest SOLIDWORKS software, it is recommended to have a computer with at least a 3.3 GHz processor, 16 GB of RAM, a compatible graphics card (you can find it on their website), and 64-bit Windows 10.
Inkscape is free-to-use software that is primarily used to create vector drawings. The advantage of vector drawing is that the lines have a mathematical function related to them and can be manipulated to create G-code.
The software is compatible with vector, bitmap, and geometry files. Vector files represent the design in a two-dimensional plane, while bitmap can have part designs with slopes (commonly known as 2.5 D).
Control software acts as the interface between your computer and the controller of your CNC machine. It reads the G-code instruction and converts them into commands that the breakout board can understand. It can also be used to manipulate your CNC machine manually. 2ff7e9595c
